Our Story
We’ve always
stood out.
Sometimes for the right reasons. Sometimes because we didn’t fit the path in front of us. Not because we couldn’t do it — because it wasn’t enough.
And somewhere along the way…
we both had that moment when you know.
That you’re not built for average.
Not built to follow something that doesn’t come alive in you.
Elaine — chasing something she couldn’t fully name yet
Bill & Elaine
We weren’t afraid to move.
Bill stepped into cross country running, then boxing, then mixed martial arts — testing limits, chasing challenge, refusing anything that felt settled too soon.
Elaine grabbed a backpack and walked away from the expected — spending over a year moving across countries, chasing something she couldn’t fully name yet… but knew it mattered.
We just hadn’t found the direction that matched the fire.
Adventure alone wasn’t it. Movement without alignment still leaves you searching.
The Turning Point
Everything changed when we stopped building on our own terms.
We could feel it — that moment when something deeper is asking more of you.
Everything changed when we stopped trying to build a life on our own terms… and fully surrendered to God.
Not halfway. Not comfortably. Fully.
And then we started saying yes.
The Yes That Changed Everything
Not safe yeses. Not convenient yeses.
Bold yeses.
Hosting strangers… which turned into lifelong relationships and invitations into homes around the world.
A Christmas surprise — Bill’s first mission trip — which turned into a life no longer centered on routine, but purpose.
Sitting with pastors, orphanage directors, artists — listening, learning, building something real wherever we went.
Leading a Lion’s Roar Nonprofit Conference in Kenya (2025) — not because we planned it. Because we followed it.
Moments That Marked Us
India, 2016 — The first bold yes
Breckenridge. Between dog sledding, blizzards, and long conversations that didn’t feel casual anymore — a lifelong fire was built. Not emotional. Not temporary. Clear.
2022. Marrakesh. Sitting in the shadow of a mosque — speaking life into people who had been sidelined, dismissed, overlooked.
That moment when you know: this isn’t random. This isn’t accidental. This is what happens when you say yes… and keep saying yes.
What God Did With That Yes
